As a Senior Planner, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and designing our clients planning applications from inception to the final stages. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful submission of viable planning applications, all while considering various constraints. Handling third-party management and collaborating with relevant consultants will be a key part of your responsibilities.
This is an attractive position with plenty of autonomy, allowing you to put your own stamp on projects. You'll be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, including chartered architects, landscape architects, urban designers, and engineers, where you'll collaboratively find holistic solutions for challenging commissions.
This opportunity comes with a secure stream of planning work for large-scale renewable energy schemes, courtesy of joint venture partners, as well as an additional exciting projects portfolio. You'll primarily focus on renewable energy planning in Scotland and England, making a significant impact in this field.
To be considered for this role, you should be a chartered RTPI professional with an accredited degree in Town Planning or a related subject. Your significant experience in private and/or public sector planning, preferably with Environmental Impact Assessment involvement, will be highly valued. Eligibility for RTPI membership will also be considered.
We're looking for a Senior Planner who can demonstrate:
- A track record of at least 3 years in relevant planning experience
- Proven success managing caseloads for various planning applications, with a particular emphasis on the renewable energy sector
- The ability to prepare and deliver top-notch planning reports
- Proficiency in engaging and negotiating with statutory consultees and third parties
- The skill to balance competing planning constraints and drive project design from concept to completion.
