We are looking for a Competitive Intelligence Manager Candidates and Early Assets with strong analytical and problem - solving skills, eager to bring a high-level of energy and passionate outlook to the role. This role is preferably based at our headquarters in Brussels, Belgium or in our office in Slough (UK). This is a hybrid position, allowing for a combination of onsite and remote work.
About the role
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining competitive landscapes for UCB’s early-phase molecules and assets, managing resources to provide actionable insights on the competitive space. Additionally, you will oversee agencies conducting primary intelligence for early assets and collaborate with stakeholders to address competitive intelligence needs. You will be involved in translating scientific insights into commercial strategies and managing future trends that could impact the competitive environment of these early assets.
Who you’ll work with
You will be part of a dynamic team in Global Competitive Intelligence, Integrated Insights Department and you will report directly to the Global Head of Competitive Intelligence. You will collaborate with various stakeholders and diverse teams in order to have a significant impact on the future development of products.
What you’ll do
* Create and maintain competitive landscapes for UCB’s molecule explorations, candidates, and early development assets
* Manage key business questions from the early asset team about future competitive environments.
* Continuously assess threats/risks to the future of early assets
* Conduct competitor scenario mapping
* Oversee competitive intelligence agencies handling ad-hoc projects for early assets
* Prepare competitor future overviews for portfolio review, asset review, and other internal checkpoints
I nterested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
* Bachelor’s degree in medical, biomedical, or related fields. Advanced degree, preferred in biomedical area, or PhD will be considered a plus
* 3+ years healthcare industry experience (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device).
* 2+ years Competitive Intelligence experience at analyst level or above. Experience in biologics, gene therapy, neurology, immunology will be considered an asset
* You have project management experience and strong willingness to learn new skills.
* You have a great team spirit, strong analytics attitude and high level of communication skills
* Fluent in English
* Ready to travel when it is required
