Housing Supervisor (Legal Aid) (E6656) - Citizens Advice Leeds
Leeds Citizens Advice & Law Centre is a local charity working for a fairer society where people are free from the effects of poverty and injustice. We help people to resolve financial, housing, employment and other legal issues through telephone, online and face to face services.
We are looking for an experienced Housing Solicitor or CILEx who holds Legal Aid supervisor status (or would quickly be able to achieve this) to provide housing advice, advocacy and representation, lead and manage a small team, deal with all aspects of case management and billing, and ensure that the service operates to required standards.
We’re seeking candidates who are enthusiastic about helping us to build our legal advice services and increase access to justice in the city. As well as carrying your own caseload you will train and develop new caseworkers, so you will have experience of line management and supervising the work of others, or be willing to develop these skills. You will work to high quality standards (LCALC currently holds SQM) and be able to manage your own and others’ performance to meet targets and KPIs.
Employee Benefits:
Citizens Advice Leeds offers a competitive remuneration package with additional benefits that support a positive work-life balance:
* Full-time hours are 35 per week with a flexible working policy
* Annual leave entitlement starting at 25 days p.a. (plus bank holidays)
* Defined contributions pension scheme with an employer contribution of 6.5%
* Employee assistance programme with access to 24/7 telephone support
* We are a Disability Confident Employer and a Mindful Employer
* We are based in modern offices in a city centre location with good transport links
