CLACTON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL THE ROLE Acting as part of a team, we are seeking a Midday Assistant to take care and control of all the children on the school premises during the midday break between the morning and afternoon teaching sessions. This post is 5 hours, 35 minutes per week, 38 weeks per year (term-time only). The working hours will be 13:00pm until 14:07pm, Monday to Friday. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Report any incidents of serious misbehaviour to the relevant staff member, in line with the school’s behaviour policy Take necessary action to minimise disruption and harm to pupils, in line with the school’s behaviour policy Make sure children tidy up after themselves in the lunch areas Help to resolve issues between pupils during lunch period Follow any directions from class teachers on supporting specific pupils with challenging behaviour We're looking for you if you have: First aid training (or willingness to complete it) Ability to use own initiative and take action accordingly Effective communication with adults and children Ability to respond quickly and effectively to issues that arise Why work for The Sigma Trust, Clacton County High School?
