Ensuring the function is fully manned to meet the demands of the department, customer and needs growth of the business; overseeing and monitoring performance to meet and exceed the agreed KPI’s for each operation ✨Role key responsibilities Effective, consistent management of Team Leaders, ensuring KPIs are met and that coaching, training and development are delivered. Maintain productivity flow across all department operations, balancing pace to accuracy levels Ensure site is safe at all times, removing hazards and raising Jira’s as appropriate Complete quality accident/ near misses investigations where appropriate Keep accurate records of all KPI’s, overseeing the monitoring of individual performances and ensuring that regular feedback is given, both positive and negative Ensure maximum productivity from all sections by making ALL operatives flexible and multi-skilled Prepare and effectively complete PDRs for all Team Leaders Conduct regular 1:1s with Team Leaders, ensuring that relevant information is cascaded down and the team are fully briefed Ensure Team Leaders are working within and towards the standards set out in their Role Profile and actively monitor, address and report on progress Support and encourage Team Leaders, acting as a point of contact for any enquiries; delegate tasks where appropriate and provide regular feedback on performance Assist in and conduct monthly reviews during the probationary period of new staff Manage and deal with staff conflict effectively and keep the Managerial team fully briefed on the situation and resolution Take an active role in monitoring the whole warehouse, not just the immediate department relevant to the role – report and act on misconduct, performance Assist with the monitoring of staff attendance, participating in the return to work meetings and signing off passouts where appropriate. Act as first point on disciplinary matters, assisting at stage 1 of the Company Disciplinary Procedure and conducting hearings at stage 2, written warning level Work in a friendly, consistent, motivational manner to promote best practice from staff; adopting professional, confidential approach at all times Ensure and oversee that the warehouse operates in an appropriate manner Daily Team briefings About You ✨ Skill/competency Essential A highly confidential, professional approach Previous experience of leading a team A strong work ethic and an eagerness to lead by example Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Effective people management skills Self-motivated Team Player Good communication skills Desirable Basic knowledge of WMS or Mailbrain Previous experience of leading a team Already have IOSH Managing Safely qualification or willing to work towards About Us At MandM, our employees are driven by a shared commitment to excellence and making a real impact in the industry.
