Remuneration: £40,000-£45,000 + up to £10,000 Bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager will involve:
1. Field sales role, selling company's distributed range of Roofing Sheet, Rooflights and Roofing Accessories.
2. Promoting a portfolio of products such as Tile, Ridge and Eaves Vents, Valley Troughs, Joining Gutters, Abutment Soakers, Dry Fix Roofing Systems, Roofing Membranes, Polycarbonate Roofing Sheet, PVC Roofing Sheet, Bitumen Roofing Sheet, Flat Glazing, Dome Rooflights, Flat Glass Rooflights, and Hygienic Cladding.
3. Selling into 70% builders merchants and 30% roofing merchants.
4. Typically 20% nationals and 80% independent merchants and buying group members.
5. Responsible for circa 200+ builders merchants/ roofing merchants accounts, visiting accounts with a minimum £2,000 turnover - circa 80 merchants (remainder looked after by customer services).
6. Inherit a turnover between £3m-£4m, currently performing in line with budget expectations.
7. Working for a market leading national plastics distributor.
8. Launching a wide range of new products, providing large scope for business development within existing and new accounts.
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager with:
1. Experience selling to builders merchants or roofing merchants.
2. Open to all building product backgrounds.
3. Strong business development and relationship building skills.
4. High energy levels, go-getter with raw enthusiasm.
5. Knock on doors mentality.
6. Desire to progress in career.
7. Ideally 2-3 years proven field sales territory management experience.
8. Specific knowledge of Roofing Sheet, Rooflights and Roofing Accessories is not required.
9. CRM proficient, with high numeracy, IT capability, communication & organisational skills.
