IT Cyber Security & Assurance Technician

What you'll be doing day to day
Working autonomously and alongside IT Cyber Security colleagues you will:
1. Lead cybersecurity assessments, adhering to Cyber Essentials and Cyber Assurance Standards.
2. Conduct and interpret web app and vulnerability scanning and reporting.
3. Build and maintain an awareness of information security standards such as NIST CSF and ISO27001.
4. Collaborate with Financial Audit colleagues to evaluate IT systems supporting key financial processes, ensuring continuous improvement in audit quality.
5. Perform daily IT assurance tasks, contributing throughout the entire delivery lifecycle from planning to reporting.
6. Work effectively as a team member by providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members and management on progress.
7. Ensure client deliverables are timely and meet expected standards.
About you
We are looking for candidates who possess:
1. Previous experience in an IT technician/support or IT security position.
2. Willingness to learn and continuously expand knowledge in IT audit, information security, and cybersecurity.
3. Excellent business writing and verbal communication skills.
4. Agile mindset and comfortable adapting to changing technologies and environments.
5. Ability to build client relationships based on trust and responsibility.
6. Highly skilled in using Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
7. Strong analytical skills for critical thinking, research, and problem-solving.
8. Embrace remote working and digital tools to deliver services.
9. Willingness to travel across the UK as required.

1. CREST Registered Penetration Tester
2. CREST Certified Infrastructure Tester
3. Cyber Scheme Team Member (CSTM)
4. Cyber Scheme Team Leader (CSTL)
5. EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA)
6. EC-Council Certified Penetration Testing Professional (CPENT)
7. Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
