We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Director of Sales & Marketing to join our team at Farncombe Estate, home to our three award-winning hotels – Dormy House, Foxhill Manor, and The Fish – as well as our luxurious Hillside Hangouts. This pivotal role will lead our sales and marketing functions to drive revenue growth, strengthen brand positioning, and ensure commercial success across our stunning 600-acre Cotswolds estate. As the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and collaborate across departments to achieve commercial goals. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our brand while leading a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets and enhance brand positioning. Brand Guardian : Act as the brand custodian, ensuring consistency while identifying opportunities for brand enhancement. Stakeholder Collaboration : Build and maintain effective relationships with the Farncombe Leadership Team and external stakeholders to foster a collaborative and sales-led culture. Market Analysis & Insight : Lead strategic market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, ensuring commercial awareness and revenue optimisation. Commercial Development : Conduct regular commercial reviews, providing clear reports and actionable recommendations to the Managing Director and Board of Directors. Sales & Revenue Management : Predict guest demand, optimise inventory, and manage pricing to drive revenue growth. Build strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and travel agencies to drive repeat business. Marketing & Communications : Develop high-quality visual assets, maintain a consistent tone of voice, and foster valuable partnerships, including press, PR, and third-party collaborations. Team Leadership & Development : Lead, mentor, and develop the Marketing, Reservations, and Events teams, ensuring they have relevant skills, KPIs, and personal development plans.
