Business Development Manager
The Role: The role of Business Development Manager will see you selling a range of electric radiators & towel rails used in domestic & commercial settings through specification and working closely with M&E Contractors, Consultants, Housing Associations, House Builders, and Merchants. This is a Southern based role where you will have opportunity to find new business across the M4 Corridor from South Wales to East Anglia. There will be a focus on the South East, however. In this role you will be working remotely and splitting your time between the home office and being on-site.
This is a brand new, growth, position which will be in addition to the existing BDM team who focus on the other products in the portfolio. As such, you will be able to work off the back of a very strong presence within the merchant network with the likes of BSS, Wolseley, and Smith Brothers in the region. 50% of your time will be breaking specification and the other 50% will be generating new ones with Consultants and other Specifiers. Our client have a very high conversion rate and excellent support to back up the process. This is a superb role for someone who has experience of this sales process, understands the industry, and wants to be a part of a major brand globally.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
7. Come from an electrical appliance & heating background
8. An understanding of selling through Specification to housebuilders, local authorities, and M&E Consultants
9. Knowledge of Merchants, Contractors, Local Authorities and Developers in the sales process
10. Has a sound approach to new business development
11. An electrical qualification or aptitude is highly desirable
12. Clean driving licence
Salary: £45k - £53k DOE + 25% bonus + company car + Aviva pension + 25 days holiday + laptop/mobile + Healthcare cash plan
