An opportunity has opened up for a member of staff to join the administration team of the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN) on a part-time (0.5FTE) basis. The post holder will be located in the Polwarth Building on the Foresterhill Health Campus as part of the Admissions team in the Institute of Education in Healthcare and Medical Sciences.
You will be an integral part of the administration team with varied duties relating to admissions processes of various academic programmes with duties such as recording receipt of and processing applications, communicating with applicants, arranging open and offer holder days. You will also have responsibility for supporting the administration of the Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) which will involve preparing exam spreadsheets, answering queries and arranging ISCE’s (Integrated Structured Clinical Examination) and take ownership of the MSc in Physician Associate admission processes.
This is an interesting post which will involve interaction with colleagues and students from across the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition. It offers the opportunity to develop and broaden your organisational and communication skills and you will be a key contact for both staff and students.
The ideal candidate will possess Higher Maths and English qualifications, excellent IT skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4 scale, £26,642 - £30,505 per annum, pro rata, and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
