About The Role
Days of Working: Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern: 09:00am to 17:30pm
Role Overview
The Business Analyst is responsible for the gathering, eliciting, analysing, documenting and managing requirements for projects. Reporting to the Senior Business Analyst you will bridge the gap between the business environment of stakeholders and the functional and business requirements and processes, ensuring that these are translated into formats suitable for all your stakeholders including solution architects and developers from which specifications, design and application configurations will be built. You will be responsible for producing, scoping, process mapping and integration functional and technical specification documents. This will be supported by using inhouse methods and tools.
You will also need to have excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, presentation and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Build relationships with stakeholders to understand, define and document requirements.
* Proactively manage stakeholder expectations of requirements against scope of the project.
* Ensure success criteria is defined upfront and put in place mechanisms for acceptance of requirements.
* Maintain accurate documentation and records, prepare and present material to stakeholders of a high quality.
* Contribute to the overall risk management process and identify risks specific to projects or changes.
* Elicit, translate, simplify and prioritise requirements.
* Assist with business case production.
* Support all business activities within the end-to-end project delivery such as workshops, UAT and training.
* Support testing and implementation activities.
* Exercise independent judgment, reasonable care, skill and diligence when carrying out their duties.
* Act in good faith and promote the long-term success of each company.
* Adhere to and promote the Group’s policies on equality & diversity, information security, health and safety and data protection in the performance of their duties and the management of the people reporting into them.
* Support and promote the sustainability plans and policies and carry out duties in a resource effective way, recognising the shared responsibility of minimising negative environmental impacts wherever possible.
Qualifications
Must have a good standard of education and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in requirement gathering processes and methodologies, including the project lifecycle and software development process, are essential. A proven track record of delivering within the project environment, preferably within a multi-project programme, would be highly desirable.
Desired
* Relevant professional qualifications, such as BCS Business Analysis Certifications are desirable.
Experience
* Business Analyst experience in a business environment and IT projects.
* A proven track record of delivering successful business analysis for integration and DevOps projects.
* Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in requirement gathering processes and methodologies, including the project lifecycle.
* Strong technical aptitude and computer proficiency, including MS Office Suite.
* Demonstrable strong written, presentation, communication and negotiation skills and can articulate complex solutions.
* Experience of complex IT implementations with multiple integration points to external applications.
