Customer Service Representative
Kettering Area
Hours - 39 hrs pw - Monday to Thursday (Apply online only), Friday (Apply online only)
Salary - £25,500-£27,500 plus other benefits
Our client based near Kettering is recruiting an experienced Customer Service Representative on a permanent basis to administer and process sales enquiries and orders, and resolve all manner of customer complaints and queries efficiently and effectively. You will also be an internal contact for the regional Area Sales Manager, and provide sales support to Customers, External Sales teams and Production teams on company products and contribute to the overall delivery of revenue and profit for the company.
Key Responsibilities
1. Working as part of a team, alongside the Sales, Estimating, Technical, Production and Credit Control teams to deliver company projects.
2. Strengthening relationships with customers who are regularly involved in projects and identifying new business opportunities.
3. Being proactive on following up quotes within the region.
4. Correctly processing a high volume of customer orders in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
5. Dealing with an extremely high volume of incoming calls covering a diverse range of topics.
6. Handling customer complaints and escalating them to Senior Management, where required.
7. Logging and resolving customer invoice queries relating to the sales ordering process and product quality.
8. Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with Key Accounts.
9. Communicating with the company's external team and third-party suppliers, e.g., hauliers.
10. Dealing with the day-to-day customer service calls and requirements.
11. Liaising with relevant departments to ensure speedy delivery.
12. Responding to verbal pricing requests and product information.
About You
1. Previous experience within a Customer Services/Office environment.
2. Ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
3. Good communication skills with a friendly approach in a fast-paced department with tight deadlines.
4. Ability to prioritise work according to demand and work alongside Area Sales Managers' priorities to deliver customer service excellence.
5. A knowledge of Construction product Sales Order Processing in a business-to-business environment (desirable).
6. Detailed product knowledge to assist customers - full product training will be provided.
