We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to step into an engaging role as a Project Officer for our new planning, budgeting and forecasting project. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers a unique opportunity to be part of a transformative project as we work towards creating a truly modern finance function. The implementation of the new Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) software will play a key role in enhancing our financial planning and analysis, ultimately helping us deliver a customer-first housing experience for a better future. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Lead EPM Subject Matter Expert to deliver key project activities, gathering and documenting artifacts, analysing financial data, and managing multiple tasks with agility. You’ll engage confidently with the core project team, facilitating activities by organising meetings, documenting outcomes, and maintaining project tools like DevOps. About you: You’re passionate about project work with a strong financial background. You will have a strong affinity for gathering and documenting project artifacts and be able to work with agility across multiple tasks. You are confident in working with financial data and analysing datasets. Some things we are looking for: At least 1 years’ experience of finance within a large organisation Experience of interpreting information, carrying out research, analysing complex data Advanced understanding of business and processes relevant to the project Experience of undertaking systems and process reviews Good knowledge and understanding of Finance Business Partnering Ability to establish strong, sustained working relationships based on respect and effective negotiation and influencing skill Please note: While the role is advertised as Assistant Accountant to reflect its level, the formal job title for this position is EPM Project Officer. Although this role is home-based, you should be able to travel to our Group offices or other locations as needed for client or team meetings.
