About the Role:

Our client, a centrally based manufacturing business in Stoke-on-Trent, is seeking a dedicated Site/Maintenance Cleaner to join their team. In this varied role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the site, machinery, and equipment, ensuring the facility is always in top condition.
As a Site/Maintenance Cleaner, your Key Responsibilities will include:
• General Site Cleaning: Maintain the overall cleanliness of the site, including common areas, offices, restrooms, and production areas to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
• Machine Cleaning: Regularly clean and maintain all site machinery to prevent buildup of dirt and debris, ensuring machines run smoothly and efficiently.
• Basic Repairs and Maintenance: Perform odd jobs and basic fixture repairs around the site as needed, such as fixing leaky faucets, replacing light bulbs, or repairing door handles to keep the site functional and safe.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Daily Inspections: Conduct daily inspections of the site to identify any areas that need immediate cleaning or repairs, taking proactive steps to address any issues.
• Support Site Operations: Assist with other duties as required to support site operations and contribute to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process.

Key Requirements for this Site/Maintenance Cleaner role:
• Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects as required.
• Basic handyman skills for minor repairs and maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
