Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for nurturing and supporting the development of young children in a nursery setting. You will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play and exploration. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, work well within a team and have a genuine love for working with children.
Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
2. Foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children and their families.
3. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and wellbeing.
4. Manage daily routines, ensuring that all children are cared for in a safe environment.
5. Observe and assess children's development, keeping accurate records of their progress.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all children.
7. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and promote community engagement.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space.
Desired Experience (not necessary):
1. Previous experience in childcare or early years education is essential.
2. A relevant qualification in Early Years Education.
3. Safeguarding knowledge.
4. Hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
5. Forest School Leader Qualification.
All training for the role will be provided, with an opportunity of an Apprenticeship for the selected candidate if required/desired.
Hours Required:
Term Time only -
* Wednesdays 7.45am - 4.15pm
* Thursdays 9am - 3pm
* Fridays 9am - 3pm
Our preferred start date for the role will be 8th January 2025, but this can be flexible for the right applicant.

Pay: £10,695.00-£11,346.00 per year
