We are looking for an enthusiastic person with previous customer service experience to join our friendly and hardworking GP Surgery team based in West Bridgford, Nottingham.
The role includes front of house reception duties, answering telephone calls and providing support to the wider Practice team when required. Training will be provided in prescription request management for the right candidate.

Job Summary: To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, processing of information, and assisting patients as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
2. Processing personal, telephone, and e-requests for appointments
3. Answering incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the caller's request appropriately
4. Signposting patients to the correct service
5. Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, team members, and external agencies
6. Photocopying documentation as required
7. Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
8. Inputting data into the patients' healthcare records as necessary
9. Directing requests for information to the administrative team
10. Managing all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
11. Carrying out system searches as requested
12. Maintaining a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
13. Monitoring and maintaining the reception area and notice boards
14. Supporting all clinical staff with general tasks as requested

1. Partaking in audits as directed by the audit lead
2. Actioning incoming faxes when necessary
3. Scanning patient-related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients' healthcare records
4. Completing opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota
5. As required, supporting the management of repeat prescriptions
6. Ordering and monitoring of stationery supplies
