Recruitment
* Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes ensuring a positive candidate experience and monitoring outcomes for continuous improvement.
* Promote ownership to hiring managers, encouraging a proactive approach that anticipates future talent needs. Regularly review recruitment materials, ensuring alignment with business goals and future talent needs. Challenge existing ways of thinking and promote innovative approaches in the recruitment process.
* Represent the company as an employer of choice at career fairs and through outreach to schools, colleges, and universities.
* Manage the Watchmaker school program, including recruitment, relocation, and ongoing communication with key stakeholders
Employee Relations
* Maintain oversight of ER cases (e.g., capability, performance, disciplinary, grievance, long-term sickness) and provide guidance and support to ensure timely and legally compliant processes.
* Organize and attend hearings/meetings as needed, ensuring all relevant paperwork is prepared, and records are maintained accurately.
* Equip managers with the tools and resources to handle day-to-day employee relations concerns, proactively identifying gaps or trends and recommending improvements.
* Stay updated on employment law to ensure policies and procedures reflect legislative changes and guide managers in maintaining compliance.
Learning & Development
* Identify current and future training needs, delivering targeted and relevant training solutions aligned with organisational goals.
* Source and collaborate with appropriate training providers, customising content and delivery, managing coordination and logistics.
* Design and deliver engaging training on key HR topics, including employment law, diversity and inclusion, performance management, recruitment, and disciplinary procedures.
Performance Management
* Act as a driver of performance improvement, promoting positive changes in people management practices.
* Support managers in setting clear, measurable performance objectives aligned with business goals.
* Collaborate with senior management to implement performance management activities, including appraisals and salary reviews, ensuring consistency across the organisation.
Change Management
* Lead and support organisational change initiatives, guiding managers and teams through transitions to ensure smooth implementation and employee buy-in.
* Assist managers in planning and implementing change, providing guidance on relevant legislation and policies and managing HR processes.
* Work with stakeholders to create consistent messaging and coach managers in adapting to new structures, processes, and ways of working, maintaining morale and engagement.
* Support senior management in preparing high-level presentations and reports for internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication of key messages.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
* Champion DEI working with the HR and management team to integrate diversity, equity and inclusion practices into all people processes and activities.
* Ensure that DEI initiatives are communicated effectively, supporting clear messaging around the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion and ensuring that initiatives are accessible to all employees.
HR Operations
* Maintain and update HR trackers to ensure accurate reporting and to support efficient HR operations.
* Collaborate with the HR team to improve and streamline HR processes
