Description Moulton CEVC Primary School - Moulton, Suffolk CB8 8PR £25,979 pro rata 28.75 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, 8:35am to 12.15pm, 1.15pm to 3.20pm, Monday to Friday Permanent Reference: 6349 Required as soon as possible We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, organised and committed person to perform the role of Cover Supervisor/Teaching Assistant. The majority of time will be spent in the Y6 classroom as a TA. The role will also involve teaching classes, currently for staff absence, but possibly include PPA cover in the future. When teaching classes, you will manage behaviour effectively and respectfully, ensuring that pupils, regarding of their starting points, make good progress in their learning. The role is a superb opportunity to gain experience in an outstanding school environment in which all pupils are celebrated, as part of your career development. It would suit someone considering teaching as a career or someone who is returning to the profession. You will: have excellent mathematics and English skills (GCSE at Grade C or above essential) have experience in a primary school, preferably as a cover supervisor or a HLTA be able to establish positive and respectful relationships with all pupils and have positive behaviour management skills be an effective team player with high standards of integrity and approachability be flexible to work on a varying timetable across different age ranges between reception and Year 6, occasionally at short notice be able to use initiative and respond to pupils’ academic and emotional needs be proficient with technology, including laptops and interactive whiteboards. Responsibilities will include: undertaking cover of lessons for staff who are absent (planned or unplanned) and for PPA working alongside teachers as a class Teaching Assistant (initially in Y6), behaviour support and small group interventions when needed.
