Job Description

Our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organization partners with global customers, working closely with major airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, Wizz Air, and others.
What will I be doing?
As an Assembly Fitter, you will assemble and test A320 single aisle family landing gears. You will work as part of a team to complete the required quantity of shipsets per week to meet our customer's expectations, delivering a product in line with quality, cost, and delivery.
Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Assemble and test Airbus Single Aisle family nose and forestay, main gears, and sidestays with a high level of quality.
2. Continuous improvement on the quality and efficiency of both the assembly and testing of the units.
Job Requirements:
1. Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent ideally gained within Aerospace or Automotive.
2. Knowledge of working with and assembling aircraft landing gears.
3. Experience in reading component maintenance manuals, drawings, engineering layouts, and additions to the original design such as Service Bulletins, Service Letters, and Airworthiness Directives.
4. Ability to build and test complex landing gear sub-assemblies and complete landing gears.
5. Ability to use a wide range of precision measuring and test equipment.
6. Understanding of basic electrical circuitry for fitment and testing of harnesses/switches.
7. Responsibility and confidence to sign and stamp off own work for safe release back into flight service in line with all relevant build documentation.
8. Strong mathematical skills.
9. Articulate with a high level of dexterity, integrity, and excellent team working ethics.
10. A self-starter with the ability to self-manage and work with initiative in a conscientious manner.
11. Good problem-solving skills, not easily flustered.
12. Flexible and committed approach.
13. Motivated to develop skill set and constantly learn new skills.
14. Understanding of Lean Sigma disciplines and 5S principles.
