MMP Consultancy is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, shaping, and successful delivery of large-scale, high-risk, high-cost, and high-profile capital construction projects.
The rate of pay is £500pd inside of IR35 with an estimated weekly take home of £1,450 after tax deductions via nan umbrella company.
Candidates will be expected to work on a hybrid basis with regular attendance on site in Bristol when necessary. The successful candidate will work is as part of a programme team delivering new, extended or redeveloped locations to help increase placements for children & young people with Special Educational Needs (SEND).
Projects range from repairs and maintenance, through redevelopment of existing locations to the construction of new spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the shaping, planning, and execution of complex projects, ensuring that all are delivered to specification, on schedule, and within budget using the most appropriate project management methodologies.
Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, identifying and managing internal and external dependencies. Drive progress, monitor key milestones, and forecast timelines, resources, and costs.
Identify necessary skills and resources for project delivery. Build and manage the internal team while collaborating with internal specialists and commissioning external expertise when required.
Provide leadership and ongoing support to the project team, guiding them in delivering their responsibilities and ensuring the successful completion of the project.
Identify, mitigate, and manage risks effectively throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring contingency plans are in place.
Manage complex project budgets in line with the council's financial procedures and regulations. Accurately forecast and monitor expenditure, handling any variances effectively.
Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, fostering a shared vision, and addressing issues promptly
