About the Firm A well-established, client-focused law firm in Gloucester is seeking an experienced Head of Conveyancing / Conveyancing Manager to lead and develop its thriving property team. The firm is known for delivering high-quality legal services, excellent client care, and fostering a supportive working environment.
The Role This senior position offers the opportunity to oversee a successful conveyancing department while managing a caseload.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leadership & Team Management – Supervising and mentoring conveyancers, paralegals, and support staff.
* Process Improvement – Driving efficiency, compliance, and best practices within the department.
* Client & Stakeholder Engagement – Managing key client relationships and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
* Strategic Development – Contributing to business development and identifying growth opportunities.
* Technical Expertise – Handling complex residential property transactions and advising on high-value or unusual matters.
About You The ideal candidate will be:
* A qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer, or legal executive with extensive residential conveyancing experience.
* Experienced in team leadership and case supervision within a law firm.
* Technically strong, confident in handling complex transactions and troubleshooting legal issues.
* A proactive problem-solver with a commercial mindset and a results-driven approach. Familiar with compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements in conveyancing.
