Rate of Pay: £9.30 per hour
Nature of the job role:
A Personal Assistant is required to work as part of a team to assist with various tasks, supporting the employer to live an independent personal and social life.
Main Duties:
1. Personal duties: To assist with washing, dressing, and some support with toileting.
2. Domestic duties: General housekeeping duties, such as keeping rooms tidy and preparing food and drinks.
3. Social Duties: To support with shopping and social interaction in the community.
Any other reasonable duties that may be necessary.
Hours of work:
6 hours per week (potentially increasing to an extra 1 hour for morning calls, 7 days a week, shared between 2 PAs; this will be discussed at the interview).
Qualifications:
Level 2 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care or above.
Skills & Experience:
The applicant needs to be a car driver with experience handling a wheelchair and manual handling, including using an overhead hoist. The applicant must also be trained in the moving and handling of people with limited mobility.
