Your new role
The Quality Technician will be required to ensure that appropriate systems and checks are in place to ensure components, sub-assemblies, and other manufactured or processed items comply with customer requirements. You will establish inspection and/or test requirements from the production card/quality plan/drawing/specification or Quality Engineer for items manufactured/processed in-house and sub-contracted/purchased items. Verify if items comply with customers’ requirements by reference to appropriate documentation and use of appropriate measuring/test equipment and visual techniques. Raise DARs (internal) and CARs (supplier) against non-conformances identified and ensure that all non-conformances are reported with the minimum of delay in order to reduce potential scrap/rework. Ensure incidents/discrepancies receive adequate corrective and preventative actions and conduct required inspection/test and indicate approval by means of inspection stamp.
Hours:
Mon - Thurs 8am - 16:30 and Fri until 1pm
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have an NVQ L3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline and 2 years’ work experience in a manufacturing role, OR 4 years’ experience in a QA inspection role. Candidates from aerospace are particularly suitable but it is not essential.
