Joiner - Social Housing
Location: North West
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Rate: £18 p/h CIS
Hours: 40 hrs a week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Joiner to join our team, working across the North West for a leading Social Housing Client based in Chester. The successful candidate will be responsible for joinery maintenance, repairs, and installations in a variety of tenanted properties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out joinery repairs and maintenance on social housing properties
2. Install, repair, and maintain doors, kitchens, flooring, skirting, and other woodwork
3. Handle basic multi-trade tasks such as tiling, plastering, and minor plumbing
4. Work independently to diagnose and resolve joinery-related issues
5. Ensure work is carried out safely and in compliance with health & safety regulations
6. Provide excellent customer service and liaise effectively with tenants and stakeholders
Requirements:
1. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent)
2. Valid CSCS card (preferred but not essential)
3. Previous experience working in social housing
4. Full UK driving licence (company vehicle may be provided)
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Strong communication & customer service skills
