How You'll Make a Difference The Library Service serves as a cultural and IT resource centre to the local community across South Gloucestershire. As Library Support Service Admin, you will play a key role in ensuring our libraries are equipped to support our community. This is a limited term contract until 31st December 2025. This role is parttime, working 15 hours per week. What You Will Be Doing Undertaking a range of both clerical and facilities administrative duties, you will help to support our library services by maintaining spreadsheets and receiving deliveries of resources, this can involve moving crates and boxes. It will be your responsibility to order resources for our libraries such as stationary and promotional materials. Providing clerical support for the Stock Librarian, you will use the council finance system to order goods and services. Working alongside out Bookstart Coordinator, you will help deliver the scheme to children and families across South Gloucestershire. Occasionally, you will attend library events such as the Summer Reading Challenge outreach activities or author visits. What We Need From You You must have a minimum of 3 GCSEs Grade 4 or above including maths and english (or equivalent qualification). It is a requirement that you have previous experience with IT systems. You will be able to follow processes and procedures alongside an ability to respond flexibly to the demands of the role. Ideally, you will have an enthusiasm for books and a good understanding of our library services. Due to the nature of this role, you must have a driving license or access to an appropriate means of travel.
