Reporting to the Technical Repair Performance Director, the successful candidate will work closely with Repair Solutions Contractors who inspect, investigate, and carry out the repair of building defects and damage. Projects can be high value and complex, and the Inspector/Surveyor provides support to Contractors to help them ensure works are completed safely, correctly, and efficiently. A thorough understanding of Construction Design and Management regulations is, and the surveyor will fulfil the duties appropriate for Sedgwick Repair Solutions to meet their responsibilities of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer when appropriate. The Surveyor provides technical expertise to the network and Sedgwick colleagues and so needs experience and qualifications within construction and/or claim management, and ideally the building repair market. This is perfect for a dedicated professional with substantial experience and qualifications in construction and/or claims management, especially in the insurance repair sector. Key Responsibilities: Inspect, investigate, and complete repairs to building defects with contractors. Ensure performance and compliance on complex repairs. Fulfil obligations as Principal Contractor & Principal Designer. Complete quality audits and ensure contractor health & safety compliance. Handle complaints and ensure revenue targets on complex repairs. Support supply chain managers, plan and manage surge/events, and train contractors. Identify, induct, and develop new complex repair contractors. Ensure data accuracy, interpret MI, assist in debt management, and promote Sedgwick Repair Solutions within Sedgwick. The skills you will have when you apply: Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence (essential). Construction Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction.
