Play Manager - Wraparound care LOCATION – Horley- RH6 7BZ SALARY - £13.50ph 24.5 hours Monday-Friday Role Breakfast Club 7:25am-9:00am Afterschool Club 3:00pm-6:00pm Term Time Only We are recruiting for a well-known childcare company that prides itself on being an inclusive, play-based provision. As a Play Manager, you will manage all day-to-day aspects of running the clubs, from scheduling, people management, cost control, customer complaints, and creating those wonderful relationships with parents and children. You’ll set high standards for excellence, delivering top-quality experiences through careful planning. You will strive to create partnerships, build connections, and foster a sense of belonging where kids feel at home and parents and carers feel supported. Play Managers provide leadership to their teams, as well as organise and plan the play and leisure activities for children before and after school, as well as during the school holidays. They are also advocates for children’s play. Upholding the highest standards of safety in your club and activities. You and the team will be committed to continuous improvement, seeking feedback, embracing innovation, and adapting to evolving needs to ensure we deliver the best possible childcare services. A little bit about you… NVQ Level 3 in Playwork/Childcare or other equivalent training, with at least one year’s experience in a leadership/management role Excellent organisational skills Great leadership qualities Three years’ previous childcare and/or Playwork experience Confidence to lead a team through an Ofsted inspection Building positive and professional relationships Caring and sensitive to children’s individual needs Active and energetic. Prepared to get involved in children’s play. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with sufficient understanding of Critical thinking and problem solving.
