South Coast Nursing Homes is an established and successful, family owned and managed, care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex.
We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex with a total of 411 beds. Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours a day, for long and short-term stays.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will manage the day-to-day operation of our busy payroll function for up to 610 employees covering Head Office and all of our residential and nursing homes within the group, using our market-leading people software Dayforce.
Hours: 25 per week, ideally 9.30am-2.30pm - Monday to Friday – however, we are open to suggestions on this. This is not a hybrid role.
Job Responsibilities:
* Ensure every member of staff is paid accurately and on time each month.
* Produce monthly payroll reports and commentary for the Directors.
* Support the Home Administration team to ensure accuracy in respect of absence, timesheets, shift patterns, and contract changes.
* Administer the NEST Pension Scheme and maintain HMRC records.
* Process monthly Payroll Journals in the Accounting System and undertake monthly Control Account reconciliations.
* Help ensure Payroll Compliance across the business.
* Previous Payroll experience, preferably within a multi-site organisation.
* Excellent organisation and communication skills.
* High level of attention to detail with a conscientious, diligent approach.
* A collaborative team player with a positive can-do attitude.

* £40k pro rata for hours worked (actual salary approximately £25,000).
