WM College helps to transform adult lives through education, and we have an exciting opportunity where you can make a real difference by supporting our learners with their digital skills, literacy, numeracy, language and study skills.
We are seeking an enthusiastic person to deliver outstanding support to learners in our Learning Centre. You will support learners to use digital technology so that they can participate in online and blended learning, helping them with all aspects of digital engagement from very basic logging on, to using learning platforms such as Teams and Google Classroom, as well as other learning technologies specific to different subject areas.
You will also provide first-line literacy, numeracy, and study skills support to learners, assisting them to understand assignments and homework and undertake self-directed study and liaising with the ALS department where learners need further referral to Additional Learning Support.
The role will be managed by the Digital Learning Manager, but you will also liaise closely with the ALS department where learners have ALS needs, and with the IT department to help resolve IT issues related to digital learning.
If you have excellent digital skills, understand the needs of learners with a basic level of literacy, numeracy, language, or study skills, are patient, and are committed to helping learners improve their skills both for college work and job readiness, then this could be the job for you.
This role is offered on a term time only basis, but please note regular early evening, and some Saturday work is required.
Please note that this role is not open to hybrid working.
Interview and assessment will take place on 3rd April 2025.
