Are you passionate about your future in Building Control?
The Sevenoaks district has a unique blend of countryside and historical architecture. You’ll engage with developers and other key stakeholders to enable quality developments whilst ensuring that the built environment of the District provides a safe, accessible, energy conscious, and healthy place for our residents and visitors.
You’ll manage your own geographical area of the district and day to day, you’ll manage your own caseload, dealing with a variety of applications and pre-applications. Your excellent communication skills will enable close working with other departments to ensure that we provide a customer-focused service.
Development is at the heart of our team, and you’ll have the opportunity to work on projects throughout the district as well as enhancing your management knowledge and skills.
Please note that appointment to the career grade will be dependent upon registration class and experience (you must be a Class 2A Registered Building Inspector).
This role will be based at our Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks Kent TN13 1HG. We currently operate a hybrid working model for the majority of our roles where your working time will be divided between the office (2-3 days) and home working (2-3 days).
