About the area The Office of Industry and Commercial Development (OICD) provides professional and expert support services to facilitate research excellence and knowledge transfer at the University. It is at the forefront in executing the University‘s research strategy and growing the impact and revenue from research translation. The OICD team promote and develop the University’s research profile through active engagement with researchers and industry to commercialise the University’s research and intellectual property (IP). About the opportunity Lead and manage key strategic projects to achieve outstanding outcomes, including: Design, develop, establish, and implement an internal program for early-stage research support and funding. Embed key service delivery partnerships with external providers, covering procurement, contract development, management, and process implementation to enhance services for researchers. Develop and manage processes and systems to contribute to operational and organisational reporting. Collaborate closely with team members, researchers, and external partners to drive successful outcomes. Play a significant role in managing, leading, and supporting a portfolio of commercial development projects and enabling initiatives. About you Extensive project management experience with a proven track record of successful project completion. Strong skills in market research, analysis, and report preparation, including proposals, plans, presentations, and business cases. Passionate about research, development, and commercialisation, with awareness of intellectual property. Commercial expertise in negotiation and contract management. Independent and proactive, with strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork skills. Relevant tertiary qualification in a commercial or related field, or equivalent competency.
