Job requirements of Engineering Apprentice:
This is a 3-4 year programme (based on progression) which includes 40 hours per week with one day release a week for college attendance at West Suffolk College to complete a Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship.
Day to day tasks will include:
1. Rapid response to machinery breakdown
2. Monitoring the performance of key service and plant equipment
3. Planned maintenance on service and plant equipment
4. Fault diagnostics of all key equipment
What you will need:
1. A logical mind with attention to detail for effective problem solving
2. The ability to think fast and thrive under pressure
3. Reliable and committed to completing a 3-4 year apprenticeship
4. 5 GCSEs grade 9-5 (A to C); including Maths, English or functional skills Level 2 in Maths and English
Pay and benefits:
1. Salary: £12.79 per hour, increasing throughout the apprenticeship. £40k per annum on completion of the apprenticeship
2. Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Standard qualification on completion of the apprenticeship, with opportunities for further training progression
3. Pension – 3% employer contributions/5% employee contributions
