Overview
New Barn School is a special educational needs school, NAS accredited with an Ofsted rated 'Good' that caters for academically able autistic students with associated difficulties, including ADHD and complex needs. The majority of students will have either of statement of special educational needs or an education, health and care plan (EHCP). Our dedicated staff are committed to creating a learning culture that enables the best possible outcomes for our pupils.
We are looking for a part time finance administrator to support the school to deliver administrative functions ensuring smooth operation and support for the educational staff. The School Administrator plays a pivotal role in maintaining the efficiency of the school's daily activities and upholding compliance with school policies and procedures.
Duties
* Maintain the smooth running of the school office.
* Handle financial incoming calls, emails, and correspondence.
* Oversee the maintenance, storage and destruction of school records.
* Manage school budgets and financial records.
* Ordering resources for the school.
* Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments using sage 200.
* Oversee petty cash transactions and record keeping.
* Liaise regularly with Head Office finance staff.
* Plan and organise school events.
* Coordinate logistics for school trips and activities, including vehicle booking.
* Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations.
* Ensure the school complies with all statutory requirements in regard to Health and Safety and GDPR.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education : Relevant qualifications in administration or a related field.
