The BOH Packer 2 serves as a vital member of our Back-of-House (BOH) team, responsible for packing orders accurately and efficiently to meet customer demands. This role is primarily designated for packing tasks. The BOH Packer typically works a flexible schedule, with shifts ranging from 4 to 6.5 hours, based on operational needs such as busy peak periods.
Casuals will move to BOH Packer 2 within 152hrs, must be signed off before being assigned these shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Packing:
2. Prepare shipping boxes.
3. Carefully pack orders that have been picked for them.
4. Put shipping labels on orders.
5. Weigh shipping boxes.
6. Conduct quality checks to ensure orders were picked correctly.
7. Escalate any stock issues to the team leader.
8. Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the packing area, including keeping workstations tidy and disposing of packaging materials appropriately.
9. Flexibility and Adaptability: Be prepared to work varying shift lengths as required, including during busy peak periods.
10. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members.
11. Ability to work independently in the area.
12. Escalate any issues to the team leader.
Qualifications:
1. No previous warehouse experience required.
2. Communication skills to work as part of a team.
3. This role reports to the team leader and does not need to make decisions.
4. No direct reports.
