JOB DESCRIPTION
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a loving 18-year-old man living in the Rhydyfelin area of Pontypridd with my family and my 3 cats. I enjoy the outdoors and love to be out in open spaces as this is where I feel more relaxed.
I enjoy listening to music, especially pop, which I often listen to through my iPods. Listening to music calms me down when I’m feeling anxious.
I have autism and can sometimes be challenging but can be calmed down quite quickly with my music. I am double incontinent, so I will need help with my personal care when we are out.
I like being outdoors, but I don’t like being around large crowds of people, as this makes me anxious. Therefore, our time out would be planned to avoid large crowds.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I would like a Personal Assistant (PA) to support me when I am out in the community and to help with social activities in the area. This role will also provide my dad with some respite as he is my full-time carer.
My safety is very important as I have no awareness of danger and can run out into the road. I wear a harness at all times when I am out and need full attention.
