The Performance and Partnerships Service is responsible for a wide range of corporate functions, which support the Council as a whole and its public service partners. It is responsible for supporting the Council to deliver its ambitious policy agenda by translating political priorities into organisational objectives with a focus on supporting policy development, policy delivery and ensuring open and transparent decision making. Based within the People and Communities Directorate, this will be an opportunity to work as part of a talented and dedicated team that provides policy, business and administrative support to the Leader of the Council and other Cabinet Members.
About the job
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Support Officer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive administrative support to the Leader and Deputy Leader’s Office Manager, Cabinet Support Team, Chief Executive’s Office, and the wider Performance and Partnerships Team. The duties of the post will include comprehensive correspondence management.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will have proven experience in an administrative support role, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); the ability to organise, prioritise and complete tasks to deadlines; and the ability to work under pressure. You will also need to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate tact and diplomacy in the role. A good level of ICT competency will be a pre-requisite and the use of more specialist tools, such as HaloCRM, would be advantageous.
