Immerse yourself in the world of Scottish cuisine and Scotch whisky and join our team at our vibrant five-star visitor centre in the heart of Edinburgh. Were looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic host to run lunch and dinner groups in one of our private spaces. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and has the potential to step up into a leadership role. Youll be actively involved in service, ensuring everything runs smoothly and that our guests have a seamless experience.
This position offers full-time hours, with a weekly commitment of circa 35 hours over 5 days / week. Our diverse team, comprised of individuals from various backgrounds, creates a dynamic and inclusive environment that celebrates Scotland's rich whisky heritage year-round.
Your Role in a Nutshell
* You'll be directly involved in greeting guests, guiding them to their tables, and managing the flow of service.
* Oversee the guest experience from start to finish, ensuring everything runs efficiently and smoothly.
* Work closely with the manager on duty to ensure the space is well-organized and service is timely.
* Support the team while taking ownership of your area, keeping things on track even during busy moments.
* Youll stay engaged and challenged throughout your shift with plenty of hands-on tasks.
* Youll be part of a supportive, friendly team that works together to deliver a great experience.
* Your hands-on work will have a real effect on the guest experience, making a difference every day.
