If so, this opportunity might be perfect for you Our client is currently recruiting for a Delivery Manager will contribute both strategically and operationally, having direct line management responsibility for managers delivering the Connect to Work programme, within the Employment & Skills Hub team as well as assisting in strategic developments for the Connect to Work programme, helping to secure good employment and skills outcomes for residents, particularly those who are most disadvantaged in the labour market. The role is expected to contribute to ensuring that employment services work in a joined-up way with external partners and other business areas to ensure business objectives are achieved including value for money, connecting people to appropriate community resources and contributing to strategic and service outcomes for vulnerable adults and children. Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to: Lead and co-ordinate the operational management and strategic development of the DWP funded Connect to Work programme. Ensure the Connect to Work programme is run effectively and efficiently to maximise the use of available funding and other resources, build and maintain strong working links with external partner organisations (e.g DWP/Jobcentre Plus, other employment support providers, NHS Trusts and other care providers, training providers) and other teams within the organisation (e.g. Public Health, Education, Adults Services). Provide assurance to the Strategic Lead for Inclusive Employment and DWP that Connect to Work is being delivered in accordance with the agreed Delivery Plan and meets the requirements of the fidelity models. Work with the Delivery Manager (Employment and Skills Hub) to ensure a collaborative approach to providing programmes and services to people who are disadvantaged in the labour market or who need help to retain their employment. Provide strategic insight and operational management support to the Strategic Lead for Inclusive Employment and the Head of Employment & Skills. Personal Requirements: In depth knowledge and experience of employment services at an operational and strategic level. Experience of planning, analysis, presenting possible solutions to senior managers and elected members and securing their 'buy-in’ and implementation. Extensive experience of partnership working with employers, other employment support providers, third sector organisations and training providers. Demonstrable experience of budget setting and financial management, including monitoring, reporting and dealing with short-term changes in budgets to meet organisational objectives. Good knowledge of local and national employment/skills strategie. Thorough understanding of the key local, regional and national issues affecting the provision employment and skills provision. Pay: £52,265.00 Salary Benefits Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
