The post holder will be based across various NEPTS stations within north and central Derbyshire and will be responsible for ensuring that they provide all elements of leadership and support to their staff teams. Each NEPTS Operations Manager will have a portfolio area of work that aligns with contractual requirements and will be working to objectives within that area.
They will be a single point of contact for escalations for their designated area providing support to the health care professionals, stakeholders and patients.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a NEPTS Operations Manager to join our Non-Emergency Transport Service (NEPTS) which supports the people of the East Midlands. You will be will be expected to be able to travel across Derbyshire and the neighbouring hospital sites that we currently serve.
Job responsibilities
* Work with Acute Hospital Capacity Teams and Community Hospitals to identify patients who will fall under portfolio heading
* Attend Bed Meetings and Capacity Meetings across the designated area when required
* Work closely with the Performance Delivery Managers to ensure service delivery is supported
* Provide support to operational staff and frontline support services
* Complete on-site Risk Assessments for patients within the Hospitals covered within the geographical area.
* Develop innovations and service improvement with Stakeholders; work with the Performance Delivery Managers and Head of NEPTS in developing the implementation strategy.
* Be the single point of contact for Health care professionals within the designated area for escalations and problem solving.
* Attend Patient and Stakeholder Forums to gather feedback to continuously improve the patient experience and service delivery
* Work closely with the communication and engagement team and the Equality and Diversity Manager to implement robust communication strategy to reach the seldom heard.
* Contributes to the strategic development of NEPTS services through the Performance Delivery Managers using knowledge and experience and through patient feedback, the negotiation process, service developments and staff views.
In accordance with the NEPTS strategy and the overarching Trust strategy, will deliver services in line with customer / purchaser and individual patients requirements.
Has responsibility for the delivery of key performance indicators as determined by the Service Level Agreements.
Contributes to the development of objectives for the NEPTS frontline staff and liaison teams
Assumes a key role in relevant projects with responsibility for specific outcomes assigned by the PDM or Head of NEPTS.
Plays an active role in the analysis of local risks within the Trusts Risk Management Strategy, contributing to recommendations for appropriate measures of control including risk assessment of individual patient needs as required.
Reviews risks arising out of complaints, PALS and untoward incidents to make recommendations for improvements in practice or service delivery.
Contributes to producing and analysing management information in relation to quality issues and devises and implements appropriate solutions.
Participates in projects or change programmes with deliverables identified by the PDMs and Head of NEPTS. Contributes to the management of project risks.
Identifies training needs within staff base and liaises with clinical and non-clinical education to ensure release of staff to meet the individual training needs.
Supports the maintenance of the highest standards of professional conduct and patient care within the Trust.
Makes use and reacts to KPI monitoring information and instigates appropriate remedial or developmental action to improve service delivery where necessary.
Ensures suitable and effective risk management practices are implemented and adhered to in order to achieve high standards of governance, optimise the use of resources and achieve corporate objectives.
Establishes appropriate communication links that reflect the needs of staff, purchasers and patients, developing and encouraging a culture of participation and involvement. Regularly evaluate the quality and effectiveness of communication and make recommendations for improvement.
Regularly communicates relevant information to members of the NEPTS team ensuring members are aware of relevant issues
Person Specification
Qualifications
* 3 GCSE's grade C or equivalent
* Management qualification or willing to work towards
Experience
* Experience of people management.
* Experience of healthcare stakeholders
Knowledge and Skills
* Effective communicator oral and written, including the ability to persuade and influence others.
* Good literacy and numeracy skills, including the ability to understand and analyse performance data in a variety of forms.
* Ability to inspire trust and confidence
Personal Attributes

* Must hold a driving licence.
