The Quality, Safety and Improvement (QSI) Team within Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB) covers all aspects of quality management, including quality improvement (QI), quality control, quality assurance and quality planning. The team is looking to recruit a registered health professional to a new and exciting Quality Improvement Clinical Educator role within the Quality Improvement part of the team. The individual must be interested in working in a diverse and high-profile arena. Main duties of the job
The post holder will take responsibility for coordinating the delivery and development of the SBUHB QI training programme. In order to support the professional development of all staff and enable them to continuously improve patient care using QI methodology and in line with evidence based best practice. This will entail regularly delivering QI courses including the current Fundamentals of Improvement and Improvement in Practice and provide coaching to staff to support them in developing QI capability to deliver improvements in their work areas.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Registered Health Professional
* Master's qualification or equivalent demonstrable specialist knowledge
* Quality Improvement course such as Improvement in Practice etc or equivalent knowledge
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Sound knowledge of current healthcare/NHS issues and relevance on Quality Improvement practice.
* Management/Leadership qualification or equivalent knowledge
* Teaching & Assessing/ PGCE qualification or working towards
* Mentoring or coaching qualification
Experience
* Delivering QI projects within a clinical setting, relevant Quality Improvement experience
* Experience in the development, delivery, and evaluation of Training & Development for a multi-professional audience
* Ability to teach/supervise and assess clinical and non-clinical staff, prioritise own workload and use initiative.
* Demonstrates understanding and engagement with quality issues, e.g. quality improvement, benchmarking
* Experience of staff development and performance management
* Proven supervision/ mentorship/coaching skills
* Report writing and presenting papers
* Experience of change management
