Looking for a career change? Do you enjoy working with young people? Then this role may be just what you are looking for.
Due to changes in our school's Inclusion and SEND provision, we are looking to appoint a dynamic individual with a range of skills and strengths, along with a passion for working with young people.
The post will be full time and require a person who can commit to supporting children within the hours of the school day from 8.20am to 2.40pm; flexibility to work beyond these hours when needs arise is also desirable.
We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with strengths or experience in supporting students with challenging behaviour or emotional needs, alongside skills or experience in working with children who have additional needs including ADHD, Asperger's or Autism.
A successful candidate will have skills in building positive relationships, resilience, a calm and nurturing presence, and the ability to think creatively and constructively. Students will be supported 1:1 in classes, with small group interventions and within our alternative provision area. Applications are particularly welcome from people with subject specialisms and aspiring teachers who need more experience in a school environment. Mentoring and CPD are available to support all members of staff to progress in their chosen field.
Regents Park is an over-subscribed 11-16 comprehensive school that has seen a sustained improvement over the last few years. If you want to join a 'good' school, come and visit to see our school in action.
For further details and an application pack please download from the school's website: www.regentsparkcollege.org.uk/vacancies. Completed applications to be returned to Fiona Hayward, PA to Headteacher, email: headspa@regentspark.southampton.sch.uk.
Regents Park Community College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
Closing date: Noon, Monday 24th February 2025
Interviews: TBC
The start date may change dependent on all checks being cleared - DBS, Medical and Two References.
