Job Title: Catering Coordinator
Location: Wythenshawe Hospital
Role Overview: We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join us as a Catering Coordinator. The successful candidate will oversee both retail and patient food services, ensuring food quality meets expectations, managing costs, and building strong relationships with the client and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee order volumes and consumption costs.
2. Utilize vendor spend reports to evaluate total expenditure for each GB per vendor.
3. Mitigate and control unnecessary spend.
4. Create and maintain accurate records of all orders and control invoices and trading checks.
5. Liaise closely with operational leads and department heads.
6. Streamline ordering processes and enforce strict stock control measures.
7. Ensure health and safety standards are understood and delivered across all hospital operations.
8. Contribute to strategic discussions as part of the senior site management team.
9. Demonstrate a focus on contract retention using the 'Clients for Life' principles.
10. Manage the electronic meal ordering system and associated team.
What You'll Bring:
1. Results focused with proven success working towards KPIs.
2. Strong operational background in customer service, facilities management, leisure, retail sectors, or related fields.
3. Experienced leader effective at directing others.
4. Strong understanding of consumer trends in relation to retail and food service.
5. Experience in a hospital environment and comfortable operating at ward level.
6. Knowledge of food hygiene issues.
