Overview Arcus FM is recruiting for an experienced Refrigeration Technical Specialist Engineer in the South East of England. You’ll be joining a friendly and dynamic team of professionals who are supportive, dedicated, and constantly looking for ways to improve our processes to provide the best service possible. Key Benefits: Salary: £55,000 (40 hours per week) Up to 4% discretionary bonus scheme, subject to achievement of targets 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays You’ll be providing technical Refrigeration expertise on mechanical and electrical equipment within our clients’ premises. Responsibilities You will play an important role within our Technical Support team: Effectively diagnosing and identifying faults and failures with different equipment and systems for multiple clients Identify skills gaps and implement training to upskill our engineering workforce Act as an interface with clients for technical issues Engage in and discover new technologies to drive refrigeration service maintenance forward for our clients, making recommendations for enhanced use of these technologies – to support continuous development and performance improvement Promote our values while guiding our engineers through complex technical challenges Analyse data to identify repeat failures and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiencies Qualifications Our Ideal Candidate Would Have: Understanding of commercial refrigeration at a higher level Significant refrigeration experience gained in supermarket/retail environment including commissioning Awareness of budgeting of parts and material usage Evaluating skills gaps and training engineers Specific Qualifications: ACRIB C&G 2079 Full UK Driving Licence CSCS Card Advanced CO2 qualification Hydrocarbon qualification 10 years in the supermarket industry Relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 (desirable) Addition: You’ll be proactive, resilient, and able to ‘hit the ground running’, with exceptional interpersonal skills. You’ll have the ability to work collaboratively with your colleagues, contractors, and our clients. You’ll have autonomy to carry out your role, with support from your manager as and when required.
