An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 2nd Chef to join our team in an exceptional, all-inclusive luxury care home based on the border of West Sussex and Hampshire.

Position: 2nd Chef
Contract: 35 hour Full Time Contract - 10 hour shifts with alternate weekends
Pay: £19.00 Per Hour
Reporting to the Head Chef and General Manager, you will be part of the Home catering team providing extraordinary service to our residents.
Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Experience working in a busy, professional kitchen.
2. Experience preparing and cooking food to suit different dietary requirements.
3. NVQ 3 in food preparation or equivalent relevant qualification.
4. Current food hygiene certificate.
5. Knowledge of food preparation methods and presentation.
6. Ability to lead and work on your own initiative.
The applicant should be reliable, polite, and self-confident.
Desirable:
1. A flexible and positive approach to working hours with regard to bank holiday and weekend cover.
2. Comfortable stepping up to a management role when deputising for the Head Chef.
3. Willingness to attend training.
4. Understanding of Food Safety Act 1990.
5. Catering experience working in a Care Home.
6. Good verbal and written communication skills.
