You possess substantial experience in direct work with children, young people, and their families, and have demonstrated effective collaborative and multi-agency working skills to support children and families. You excel in delivering outreach and home-based support to address identified needs, and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with children, families, and various professionals across disciplines. Your ability to maintain accurate and reflective records aligns with the Recording with Care guidelines. Additionally, you are capable of working independently and as part of a team across diverse services including Health, Education, and Children's Centres. A flexible approach to support the overall operation of the service is essential. A full UK driving licence and access to a car and laptop are required. Knowledge of child development, child protection issues, and practical parenting strategies are desirable. What the Job Involves The role of an Outreach Family Support Worker in our pilot project in Liverpool involves providing crucial support to children and their families. You will engage in effective multi-agency collaborations to deliver outreach and home-based support, addressing various areas of need. Your responsibilities include working across services such as Health, Education, and the School’s Family Support Service, ensuring parents receive the necessary support to meet their children’s needs.
