Title: Buyer Location: Normanton Salary: up to £32,000 Elevation Recruitment Group's Procurement & Supply Chain division are thrilled to be working exclusively with a large wholesale and distributer based in Normanton as they look to recruit a Buyer into their well-established purchasing team. The Buyer will work alongside the Purchasing Manager to support buying and negotiating existing and new contracts within the business. Alongside joining a supportive Manager, the Buyer will receive a flexible and hybrid working arrangement as well as: Enhanced Family Leave Employee Assistance Programme 23 days holiday bank holidays birthday off Holiday Purchase Scheme Opt-in Medical Scheme Key duties of the Buyer will include: Support the Purchasing Manager in selecting key category related suppliers/brands Sourcing and negotiating competitive terms for customer specific products from vendors Request, record and present findings from Product Pricing requests in a clear and concise manner Take responsibility for vendor ‘housekeeping‘ including supplier set up, product set up, maintenance of specification, supplier audits, stock issues Working with Group Inventory to manage supplier delivery arrangements to the UK and Ireland Key Skills & Experience required: Experience developing supplier relationships & sourcing products / customer tenders Ability to project plan the introduction of new products and moving products between suppliers Understanding of the full cost of sourcing decisions (product, freight, duty, stock holding, handling, returns) CIPS qualifications desirable, but not essential Knowledge of the business supplies and services industry Are you ready for a new challenge and match the above criteria?
