Key Responsibilities: Daily Financial Operations: Manage daily bookkeeping activities, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately. Bank Reconciliations: Oversee and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring consistency between bank statements and internal records. Ledger Management: Maintain both the purchase and sales ledgers, ensuring all invoices and transactions are processed promptly. Foreign Currency Handling: Manage foreign currency transactions, ensuring proper exchange rates are applied and transactions are accurately recorded. Financial Reporting: Prepare weekly financial reports for management, providing insights into cash flow, outstanding invoices, and overall financial health. VAT & PAYE Compliance: Manage VAT and PAYE processes, ensuring all relevant payments and filings are completed on time. Accounting Preparation: Prepare financial documentation and support the external accountants during audits and financial reporting periods. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support within the finance department, including filing, record-keeping, and other clerical duties. Collaboration with Directors: Support senior management with financial data, reports, and other relevant financial information as required. Candidate Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a accounts or finance-related role, with a thorough understanding of accounting principles. Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including experience with accounting software and financial management tools. Familiarity with a range of financial programs is advantageous. Education: A good level of formal education in accounting, finance, or a related field. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing financial records. Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently, with a strong sense of initiative. Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior management and colleagues across departments.
