Job Description Job title: Commercial Account handler Salary: £35,000 Location: Based in Croydon office - onsite for 3 days per week on average. Purpose of role: Our client is currently searching for a commercial account handler to support the team in managing clients' insurance requirements, including addressing general inquiries, managing renewals, facilitating mid-term adjustments, obtaining quotes, and handling premium invoicing. With a blend of tasks to add diversity to your week, there will also be chances to participate in new business activities. Experience: Proficient understanding of the primary classes of General Insurance and familiarity with the CII’s Code of Ethics and GDPR. Minimum of 2 years' experience working with commercial products. While new business experience is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position. Interest in music would enhance comprehension of the role, particularly in dealing with cover notes, but it is not a prerequisite as on-the-job training will be provided. Responsible for personal development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge through e-learning, in-house courses, and pursuing professional qualifications to accrue required CPD points. Skills: Proficiency in technical insurance skills, evaluated through regular in-house assessments. Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Capability to process tasks promptly and effectively. Skill in prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines. Outstanding client service abilities. Competence in negotiation and brokering. Exceptional verbal and written communication aptitude. Ability to collect and analyse information from clients. Skill in recognising and responding suitably to the client's level of understanding. Capability to persuade and influence others. Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent). Cert CII (desirable for this role).
