The Role Proactively managing and motivating the team and the shift, engaging colleagues to ensure the best performance Manage the team to achieve targeted daily and weekly Key Performance Indicators Ensure department operates in line with all company and customer procedures and requirements relating to Health and Safety Ensure processes and procedures are adhered to throughout the operation, with exceptional focus on health and safety Encourage a culture of excellent customer service ‘right first time’ with the team Ensure sufficient resource is available in order to meet performance expectations Responsible for driving high levels of employee engagement Work closely with the Transport team to ensure that all plans are adhered to Ensure that any performance, conduct or capability issues are thoroughly investigated and any required resulting actions are completed in a timely manner The Person An experienced supervisor/team leader with customer service focus within in a high volume, time critical warehouse environment Energetic, resilient, and flexible Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office programs Excellent communication skills Works well under tight deadlines with a keen eye for detail and a right first-time approach Experience of Kronos time management and Oracle is an advantage Experience with warehouse KPI management would be advantageous Valid Driving license would be advantageous. Flexibility to work overtime/extended hours when required.
