Pure Resourcing Solutions are exclusively supporting a privately owned manufacturing company based in Basildon, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join the team.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the senior leadership team and work closely with the board to support strategic and operational decision making.
You will take full ownership of the procurement function, overseeing the companies sourcing capabilities and supply chain.
Job Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Basildon
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, % office based
Salary: £50, to £60, per annum DOE
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the supply chain and procurement functions within the company.
2. Manage and mentor a team of 2 buyers.
3. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery of materials.
4. Source materials and products from the Far East and other global suppliers.
5. Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
6. Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
7. Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and resolve supply chain issues.
Requirements:
8. CIPS Qualified.
9. Proven experience as a Supply Chain / Procurement Manager.
10. Strong management experience with the ability to lead and develop a team.
11. Background in manufacturing is highly desirable.
12. Demonstrated experience in sourcing from the Far East.
13. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
14. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
